I was born and raised in Atlanta, though I now call Northampton , MA home. I studied psychology and photography as an undergraduate, going on to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College. I find my social work training to be of great assistance when photographing people and events. I have helped a couple focus through visualization and deep breathing, set a camera-shy bride at ease, and helped negotiate family tensions.

I have been photographing people and places for well over ten years. I use a documentary approach to capturing the essence of a moment. I am interested in emotions created by real life. I love presenting people with a series of photographs that not only represent the feel of the day, but also show moments that might not have been noticed at the time.
